New Orleans was foreseen

And at least one Muslim official, in Kuwait, says that Allah did it,
to punish America. Now *there's* a theory that Karl can readily
accept.

To the Jonah Goldbergs of this world, the suffering masses holed up in
the Superdome don't deserve victim status, but George W. Bush probably
does: he, after all, was caught entirely unawares by this act of God,
which no one could have predicted. Except it was predicted, as this
"New Orleans is sinking.
"And its main buffer from a hurricane, the protective Mississippi River
delta, is quickly eroding away, leaving the historic city perilously
close to disaster.
"So vulnerable, in fact, that earlier this year the Federal Emergency
Management Agency ranked the potential damage to New Orleans as among
the three likeliest, most castastrophic disasters facing this country.
"The other two? A massive earthquake in San Francisco, and, almost
prophetically, a terrorist attack on New York City.
"The New Orleans hurricane scenario may be the deadliest of all."

If God is responsible then it is because America has been entirely too
tolerant and too quick to accept followers of the Fallen One.

New Orleans' problem wasn't the "act of God". It was (and still is) the
zero aid effort. Did Allah tell Bush to do nothing?

An act of God is the expression used to describe unpreventable
accidents or disasters. Given the logistical difficulties of this
relief effort and the magnitude of the problem, the governments at all
levels are doing a commendable job. I too would have like to see
things move faster, but there's a lot of ignorant people like yourself
you somehow think that the President can just snap his fingers and
things will magically happen. Remember, the guard units are citizen
soldiers whose families were also been devasted by the storm. If
you're in the guard, are you going to drop the needs of your own
family to report for duty to take care of others first? Probably not.

Another religious nut. The last time I heard something as stupid as
that was when White Christian Leaders here in the United States were
claiming 9/11 as some kind of punishment from god.

There is no conversation that I can have that threatens my reality and I
don't see how anyone can live with such a precarious state of mind.

God isn't the problem, religion is. Something that doesn't exist
can't really be a problem. Worshiping something that doesn't exist
is an entirely different subect.

And the Tsunami was an accident to test Muslims' faith?
